Who we are

CapSpark is operated by Lucent Interactive Inc. This policy covers the CapSpark iPhone app and this website. For privacy questions or requests, email support@capspark.ai.

Your video, audio and captions

The original video you import stays on your device for preview and export. To generate captions, the app extracts its audio and sends that audio through our backend to our own speech recognition service, which runs on GPU infrastructure we rent from Modal. This requires an internet connection.

Our service stores a thumbnail image, caption text, word timings, project names and saved edits linked to your account. These records let you manage and edit your projects. Your original video is not backed up by this caption-generation workflow; keep a copy of footage you want to retain.

Your account and purchases

We use your email address, any profile name you provide and account identifiers to sign you in and associate projects with your account. Clerk provides authentication.

Apple processes purchases made in the iOS app. We receive product, transaction, subscription and entitlement information to provide paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card details. This website does not sell subscriptions or process payments.

Service providers and operational records

Hosting, storage, database, authentication and transcription providers help us operate CapSpark. These include Cloudflare, Neon, Clerk and Modal. Providers process the information needed for their part of the service.

We keep operational records for account access, projects, export usage and purchase verification. If crash reporting is enabled in the app, diagnostic reports help us investigate errors. We do not sell personal information or use the app for advertising tracking.

This website and support email

This marketing site does not require an account and does not include a video uploader or editor. It does not run advertising trackers, analytics cookies or browser fingerprinting. Our hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so we can respond. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details or private footage unless it is needed to resolve your request.

Storage, deletion and your choices

You can delete projects and request account deletion from the app. Deletion removes access to the affected projects or account; it is not a promise of immediate removal from every database, backup or service provider. Some records may remain for service operation, purchase verification, security or legal requirements.

Transcription-provider retention is separate from storage on your iPhone. Contact us with an access, correction, export or deletion request so we can explain what applies to your data and coordinate the request. Available rights depend on where you live.

Deleting the app or your CapSpark account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage cancellation or request an Apple refund.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. If a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it as required.
